Earlier this month, the Tony Awards premiered with Cynthia Erivo as the host. With her most recent role as Alphaba in the film adaptation of the musical Wicked, Erivo went down the red brick road with the help of Celebrity MUA Joanna Simkin and TIRTIR’s Iconic Red Cushion Foundation. As part of their involvement, TIRTIR offered an exclusive Glam Station backstage, providing Tony attendees with touch ups using their premium makeup products. At the official After Party at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), TIRTIR had an interactive photo booth and claw machine featuring Labubus and TIRTIR products.

To complement Cynthia’s gown, Joanna Simkin went for pearlescent, glowing makeup. Fluttery lashes, highlighted skin, and a tonal lip created an ethereal look. The oyster pearls and nude/peachy velvet of the dress set the tone and direction for the makeup.

Joanna Simkin began with skin prep, using TIRTIR Milk Skin Toner to lock in hydration, followed by the Ceramic Milk Ampule for an added hit of moisture and glow. For the base, Joanna used the Mask Fit Red Cushion in shades 43N and 45W, blending them to create a flawless, semi-matte finish that still felt dewy and fresh on the skin. To achieve Cynthia’s fluttery lashes, Joanna layered Kiss Lash Couture the Muses in “Noblesse” with custom-cut clusters from the “Avant-Garde” strip, adding three spiky pieces along the lash line for extra dimension. Brows and eyes were kept soft and polished to allow the skin and lashes to take center stage, working harmoniously with the glow of the overall look. Joanna finished with a tonal lip that mirrored the gown’s soft nude and peach palette, tying the whole look together with subtle elegance.

Tony Award Presenter Lea Michele had her makeup done by Adam Burrell, using (of course!) TIRTIR’s products. As this look was all about the skin, prepping was key. Adam Burrell started with the TIRTIR Milk Skin Toner for maximum hydration to enhance Lea’s already glowing skin. He followed with the Ceramic Milk Ampoule to keep the skin moisturized and give her a healthy glow. Adam buffed in the Mask Fit Red Foundation in 24N Latte all over her face for a smooth, even base. He then tapped the Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation in the same shade onto her cheeks to add a little extra coverage while keeping the skin radiant. To brighten and conceal, Adam used the Glide and Hide Blurring Concealer in 4N – applying the doe foot under the eyes and on the t-zone, and using the stick end to cover any blemishes or redness. He loves that the formula is powered by skincare. Once the skin was set, Adam softly defined Lea’s eyes with neutral tones, then lined the entire eye with a black kohl pencil. He created a winged, pulled-out shape using eyeliner and finished the eye look with feathery lashes to subtly elongate and lift. Brows were brushed up and lightly filled in to maintain structure while keeping a soft, natural finish. For contour, Adam used the Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation in 30N Rich Honey, the same formula as the base but in a deeper shade, to create a seamless, softly sculpted look. He finished with a pinky flush on the cheeks and used the Waterism Glow Tint in Scotch Shot for glossy, nude lips that complemented the fresh skin and bold eye.
